Pebbles and Reach Trade

A few days ago, we took Pebbles to a newly opened coffee bar in downtown Wooster called Reach Trade Coffee Bar. We stayed there for about two hours, and Pebbles did fantastic! She stayed right next to us the entire time, was very friendly towards all of the customers who came up and greeted her, and didn't get distracted by the sounds and smells at the coffee bar. The fact that she was so calm and focused for two hours in a new location was a big milestone.

Reach Trade isn't just a regular coffee shop, however. This is part of an organization started by two friends who wanted to make a difference. Their goal is to supply clean and sustainable sources of water to people all over the world who do not have that access. As stated on their website, they offer "an easy way to change the world every day, one cup of coffee at a time." Reach Trade works directly with farmers to source specialty grade coffee that is locally roasted and sold to provide clean water to those in need. Of each cup of coffee purchased donates a certain percent of the profits towards their clean water efforts. Not only is this a great organization, but it's also a great place to relax, hang out, or study! The atmosphere in Reach Trade is amazing; spanish salsa music playing, friendly hugs being given, lots of laughter, and even an occasional shoulder massage from the staff! If you haven't been there yet, be sure to head downtown Wooster and check it out. Pebbles had a great time there, and made a lot of new friends! We also got to inform many people about 4 Paws for Ability, which is always a plus!

Here's a photo of Pebbles with the Reach Trade team!
